Asteroids conjunct the Sun are relatively important. In fact, the single most important asteroid in your natal chart can (almost) always be found within 1deg of the Sun.
The ‘Heavy Hitters’ are the asteroids that can completely throw off a ‘regular’ analysis that’s mainly based on factors like the planets, signs and houses. Let’s say you have a really nice Mercury – at least according to traditional methods – but you never noticed that it is conjunct a heavy hitter like Chaos, Eris, MakeMake or Sedna. Put simply, that means you’re missing crucial bits of information. When you know the role of the heavy hitters in your chart, lots of things start to make more sense.
